Transitional Interim Pastor

The Reverend Dr. Mike Ramey serves Grace congregation as its interim pastor. Pastor Ramey was born in Beaumont, TX, and was raised in the Wharton area until he attended college, first at Concordia Lutheran College in Austin TX and then at Concordia Teachers College in Seward NE where he graduated with a B.A. in Church History. He attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO, where he graduated with a M.Div. in Systematics . He later completed graduate work at Trinity Seminary in Evansville, IN, earning a Th.D. in Systematics and Biblical Studies. 

Pastor Ramey has served the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod for over 40 years as a parish pastor, church planter, military chaplain, circuit visitor, consultant, and as an interim pastor. He serves on the Transitional Interim Ministry council of the LCMS. 

He has been married to Laura for 45 years. He is father to Beth, Ana, Sarah, and Josiah and "Pop-Pop" to Colton, Raeha, Calvin, Connor, Benjamin and Olivia.
